I am a licensed broker and privileged member of the Illinois Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS® and the Egyptian Board of REALTORS®. I have served on the education and technology committee. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois animal sciences program. After studying chemistry, organic chemistry and physics, I applied to the school of veterinary science at the U of I. I did not gain admittance but the overall experience taught me the value of "learning" and applying critical and independent thinking to my personal and professional life. My business experience includes a degree in Accounting and Business Management, consulting for multi million dollar corporations, serving as training director, national marketing director for an insurance company in Geneva, Illinois and enough marketing and sales experience to "float the boat" so to speak.  My wife Sara, and son Garrett live on a small farm and operate a cattle "seedstock" business in addition to running Southern Real Estate Group. (At least the animal science degree is put to use somewhere!) I am a native of Southern Illinois and value the culture and beauty that its geography and people bring.
